Behavioral Health

Treatments to help people function, so they can lead healthier, fuller lives.

Behavioral Health provides consultation-liaison services for patients suffering from both psychiatric and medical disorders. Our providers specialize in the treatment of illness at the interface of medicine and psychiatry. As such, we focus on the evaluation and treatment of patients with neuropsychiatric symptoms that may result from medical, surgical, gynecologic and oncologic illness, as well as patients with primary psychiatric illness complicated by medical disease. Additionally, we treat patients struggling to cope with medical illness, addiction, as well as end-of-life issues. We provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments of patients.

Medication Assisted Treatment Program (MAT) – Currently only at Weeks Medical Center

Weeks Medical Center offers a Medication Assisted Treatment  (MAT)  program in conjunction with our behavioral health team for current patients with a substance use disorder.  The program combines three key components for treatment: primary care, behavioral health, and medication, resulting in customized care plans for patients actively seeking to end their opioid dependence.

The MAT program is lead by the Weeks interdisciplinary team of behavioral therapists Shawna Delworth, MLADC, LCMHC and Jennifer Hagan, LCMHC, and primary care provider Chris Laurent, APRN. The treatment program is designed for patients who have a strong desire to stop their drug use, which originated from prescription pain medications. Patients will be carefully screened and selected to participate in the program.

For more information regarding the MAT program, available at the Lancaster and Whitefield Physicians Offices only, please contact Laurie Collins, the MAT Behavioral Health Team Leader, at (603) 788-5390.
