Chelsea Nugent, BBA, CHEC, MSEM, Named NCH Emergency Management Director

North Country Healthcare is pleased to announce that Chelsea Nugent, BBA, CHEC, MSEM, has been named North Country Healthcare (NCH) Emergency Management Director.

A member of the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital (UCVH) team for ten years, Chelsea recently played an active and critical role as part of the NCH Incident Command Team, helping ensure vaccine availability Systemwide. She advocates for, and communicates the unique needs of the North Country, as part of the Granite State Healthcare Coalition Leadership Team.

Chelsea earned an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science and Fire Protection and served as a volunteer firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for five years. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration, and a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) – Accredited Master’s Degree in Emergency Management.

In addition to ensuring that each NCH affiliate has an Emergency Management Program which adheres to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines, Chelsea is playing a leadership role in the development of standardized emergency codes, working to convert current codes to more common language, and developing a Systemwide Emergency Management Committee to discuss and ensure that all NCH affiliates are prepared and educated on proper processes during emergency situations. She will also implement training and emergency drills across the System.

Chelsea will continue in her role as Safety Officer for UCVH.
