Palliative Care is specialized medical care that benefits individuals living with a serious illness. It focuses on providing guidance and support to decrease the symptoms and stress of a serious illness while improving quality of life for both the patient and family.

At Weeks Medical Center, our Palliative Care provider, Michele Lovell, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, works with patients and families, and a patient’s other health care team members, to provide an extra layer of support. This support may come in the form of relief from distressing symptoms, clarifying and discussing choices for medical care, providing extra time for communication about goals and treatment options, and extending help with navigating the healthcare system.
