Although the mask mandate within New Hampshire will expire on April 16, 2021, masks will remain required within all North Country Healthcare (NCH) facilities. For more information on the importance of masking, please click here.

The CDC and FDA are reviewing data involving six reported U.S. cases of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) in combination with thrombocytopenia in individuals after receiving the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Janssen COVID-19 vaccine. As such, North Country Healthcare has suspended administration of that brand of COVID-19 vaccine.

As North Country Healthcare (NCH) begins its COVID-19 vaccination clinics this week, we ask for your patience. NCH is currently receiving only 400 vaccines each week. We are hopeful that supplies increase. A reminder that anyone who qualifies for the vaccine under Phase 1B may request an appointment at vaccines.nh.gov.

COVID-19 vaccines have begun to be administered to employees of North Country Healthcare (NCH) and its affiliates. Employees expressing an interest in receiving the vaccine have been stratified into high, moderate and low risk per the New Hampshire Division of Public Health Services' "Jump Start Phase", also known as Phase 1a. Such vaccination, along with masking and social distancing, play an important role in helping ensure the health and well-being of those within our communities.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has, effective December 2, 2020, reduced the previous 14-day quarantine recommendation for people who were exposed to 10 days without COVID-19 symptoms. For more information, please click here.

The Team is comprised of Chief Nursing Officers of all three hospital affiliates as well as other leadership from the hospitals, North Country Home Health & Hospice Agency, and North Country Healthcare itself, the parent organization.
