Our Inpatient Services offer safe, compassionate, round-the-clock care for patients who need support beyond what can be provided at home or in an outpatient setting. Our team works together to deliver high-quality, personalized treatment that helps you heal and regain strength.

During your stay, you can expect:

• Attentive nursing care
  Our caring nursing staff is available around the clock to support your comfort, monitor your progress, and assist you with anything you need throughout your stay.
• Safe, timely medication management
  All prescribed medications—including any pain relief you may need—are provided accurately and on schedule, helping you stay comfortable and supported in your healing.
• On-site diagnostic testing
  Diagnostic imaging and laboratory services are available to give your care team and physician timely, accurate information about your condition and recovery.
• Therapies to support recovery and independence
  Respiratory, occupational, and physical therapy services are provided as needed to help you regain strength, mobility, and the independence necessary for a safe return home or transition to the next level of care.
• Nutritious, thoughtfully prepared meals
  Choose from a “room service”–style menu. Certified nutritionists are available to tailor meals to your dietary needs.
• Dartmouth Health Telehealth Services
  Dartmouth Health TeleICU (intensive care unit) services are always available. It allows around-the-clock patient monitoring which enables NCH to care for critically ill patients locally. Using high-quality interactive audiovisual technology, Dartmouth Health’s TeleICU program partners board-certified intensivists and critical care nurses with bedside teams to provide real-time care, support, monitoring and clinical consults when needed. Also, advanced analytics allows the TeleICU team to monitor trends in patient vital signs and acuity metrics, enabling earlier intervention when problems arise. In addition to TeleICU, Dartmouth Health partners with NCH to provide TeleEmergency, TeleNeurology, TelePsychiatry, TeleICN (intensive care nursery), and TelePharmacy services.
• ScottCare® VersaCare Telemetry System
  The ScottCare® VersaCare Telemetry System delivers complete and accurate cardiovascular monitoring technology, data management and services that aid in the surveillance of patients attending a cardiac rehabilitation program.  The ScottCare® system allows the cardiac rehabilitation team to manage and report data more efficiently and securely.
• Discharge Planning & Care Coordination
  Our social workers and care managers will help you and your family plan for what comes next — whether that’s home health care, outpatient therapy, or a different facility.
