North Country Healthcare (NCH) is pleased to announce that Gregory Cook has been named President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital (UCVH.) With more than 30 years of progressive operations and financial management experience as a Senior Director, System Director, and Department Director, Greg will bring his strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and clinical perspective to the critical access hospital.
Greg began his career as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, advancing to Regional Manager of Operations for Maxor National Pharmacy Services, with whom UCVH and Weeks Medical Center (WMC) collaborate to meet the retail pharmacy needs of our communities. He also brings extensive experience leading Laboratory Services and Materials Management Departments. Greg is well-versed with NCH, having served as System Administrative Pharmacy Services Director from 2017 – 2019, during which time he opened a then-new retail pharmacy service line.
Greg earned Master and Bachelor Degrees in Business Administration from Rivier University, and has been a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives since 2018. He is a Board Member of the National Advisory Board – Quorum Purchasing Advantage, and Board of Education, SAU 84 Littleton School District.
Prior to his upcoming retirement, Scott Colby, current UCVH President and CEO will work closely with Greg to ensure a smooth transition. NCH remains grateful for Scott’s leadership over the past several years.
